Candi Girl Makeovers

That's myself. ;-) I have been sewing for my dolls since when I was a child. For about eight years, I have been re-rooting and re-painting Bar*ie dolls, either aiming at restoration or at making my own fashion doll fantasies come true.

Due to Mattel suing "Miller's - an Independent Magazine for Bar*ie Doll collectors" in May 1997 and other reasons, I considerably lost interest in Bar*ie dolls. Switching over to other fashion dolls (Candi Girls being my favorites), I will be able to continue creating without generating free advertising for a multi-billion-dollar company whenever I put my creations on display.

These are my Candi Girl makeovers:

  Hispanic Candi Girl rerooted, repainted, and dressed in one of my original designs.
  
• Full view of Fairy.
• Redhead
  African-american Candi Girl rerooted with dark red hair to match original makeup lip color.
  
• Melody
  Hispanic Candi Girl rerooted and repainted.
• Isabella
  Hispanic Candi Girl repainted; added lashes and some extra strands of hair. The small computer actually is a radio.

• Funkemarieche
  Traditional carnival outfit from Köln made for a swap.
